Dr. Petrou completed his undergraduate training at the University of Sheffield in 2002. He then served as a Junior Doctor at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, gaining experience across various specialties including Emergency Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology. In 2006, he achieved membership in the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
Following his tenure in Sheffield, Dr. Petrou pursued specialization in Cardiology at Nicosia General Hospital, obtaining his title as a Cardiologist in 2010. Since then, he has dedicated his practice to private healthcare, focusing on Emergency Cardiology Care, Echocardiography, and Preventive Cardiology. At Apollonion Hospital, his primary role involved overseeing inpatients in the Cardiac Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and General Ward, in addition to managing his outpatient clinic.
Dr. Petrou has been actively engaged in medical student education, serving as a lecturer, clinical skills lab tutor, clinical placement mentor, and examiner.
He has joined the team at Care Medical Institute in February 2024 and is located in our Lakatameia branch.
